Parents Matter

A resource to build the capacity and confidence of early intervention and early childhood professionals to recognise and help support parents’ mental health wellbeing.

Research shows that parents of children with disabilities are at high risk of mental health difficulties however, most do not access professional help for themselves. Professionals who work closely with families are often ideally placed to support parents’ mental health wellbeing.

Parents Matter includes tools and resources designed to build the capacity and confidence of early intervention and early childhood professionals to recognise and help support parents’ mental health wellbeing.
